腺相關(guān)病毒A(AAV)是細小病毒科的一個成員，是一種感染人類和一些非人靈長類物種的微小
單鏈DNA病毒。目前，已報道了13個人類和非人靈長類AAV血清型和150個基因型。AAV目前被
認為是非致病性的，大多數(shù)感染AAV的人只會產(chǎn)生輕微的免疫反應(yīng)。腺相關(guān)病毒衣殼將基因攜帶
到分裂和靜止的細胞中，可以將遺傳信息插入宿主基因組。
不同的AAV血清型已被證明具有針對特定組織和細胞類型的嗜性。這是由于它們的氨基酸序列和衣殼結(jié)構(gòu)的差異，這使得它們能夠與不同的宿主細胞受體相互作用。AAV的這些特性已被用于基因治療，重組AAV病毒已被工程化，以攜帶治療基因進入各種宿主細胞。
